There have been a number of limited edition baseball books. Here's Commy from 1919, with a photo of the trade edition

Here's the post fot today, a 1912 gift edition of Touching Second. I know there is also a black boards edition which sold (I believe) in REA,signed by many stars for around $20k (if anyone can find that auction link, please let me know)

I don't own any baseball books of note, but I find it perplexing that they aren't more popular and valuable. I have considered purchasing some quality baseball books, but have been scared off by their lack of popularity. Why is this? Books have such a great crossover appeal in my opinion.

You can't slab them, they're not sexy, and people don't like to read. They are still collected, but the group of collectors is growing at a slow snail's pace.
