Thanks!! I am at 112 which is a bit less than half the confirmed number. I guess the beauty in all of this is finding out which subjects are tougher to find with this particular back...I am enjoying the ride so far!

I dont post often what I get, but after 3yrs+ of searching for this AB backed Mattern I finally got it. An SGC 70/5.5 to boot. I am just thrilled and I think it went very cheap for an AB back.

With the help of saved emails from back in the day on my aol account, I can confirm that today I checked off a card that has been on top of my wantlist since at least July of 2002.

Thanks Leon. It is cool to finally knock that card off the list and it served as a reminder to not put rare Old Judge cards on my wantlist, just get whichever ones you can when they come up. You don't know how many times I've seen Alcott come up for sale over that time, just to find out it wasn't the Mansfield version. It's also in much nicer shape than what I thought I was going to end up with, figuring I'd just overspend for the next one I saw no matter what the condition.

Good luck finding yours Joe! I've had the Burlington card for years, as well as New Haven and Rochester, all one player teams in the set. Maybe I'll get a scan of all four together later...decided to do it now instead. Also have Holbert too as a one player team but he wasn't on my wantlist until we started writing the book and I actually bought it the day we found out Mets were a one player team

| It was five years ago this month

that I got a second card with Howe McCormick's stamp on the back. Within weeks, I had decided to sell all my other t206s and concentrate on only trying to rebuild his collection that he had marked. Today, number 205 in the rebuilt collection arrived in my mailbox. I never imagined that I would find so many, or own that many of them. Thanks to so many on the board who keep their sights set on them, and let me know when they are available. |

Battered and not really a card, I picked up this Facts for Fans as ephemera for my m101s. The inset on the bottom is from page 1 of the nearly 100 page booklet. For the m101 collectors here, note that the caption design is wrong and that the photo shown of Scott is not the high leg-kick picture actually used in the set. Interestingly, the card number is wrong too--it corresponds to Scott's m101-5 card, but Indy Brewing is a m101-4 set only.
