In the scheme of things, Ms. Steele isn't that bad. I find Diane Sawyer unlistenable. To me at least, Diane Sawyer reads the news as if she's reading bedtime stories to five year olds. It's like Mr. Rogers is reading us the news. It's this unnaturally paced, overmelodramatically enunciated form of talking that is normal on television, but if you did it on the street people would wonder what's wrong with you.
I should note that people have told me I've unusually aware and interested in peoples' accents, so this is the type of thing that would stick out to me. It's a television accent. Last edited by drc; 05-01-2013 at 06:03 PM. |
