Hi everyone
Just wanted to share some information with you. Over the summer I bought some 1978, 1979 and 1980 Topps wax packs from Bruingirl2007. The story was that the seller had a bunch of vintage wax and didn't really know what she had and was selling it piece by piece on ebay. I received the packs. Unfortunately I didn't realize how easily these things could be faked. I also wasn't around for a couple of months after the packages arrived (because of family health issues) so I couldn't even get help from experts and request a refund. Another ebay user contacted me and said to look closely at the gum and the folds in the wax. Sure enough the red flags were there. Then I submitted them to someone who is an expert with vintage wax who confirmed they are fake. The seller stopped answering my requests for a refund. I am now taking it up with my credit card company, paypal and a lawyer. Just wanted to share my experience with you so you don't make the same mistake I did. Like I said, I had no idea people were faking packs. Thanks, Eric |
