Getting healthy, spending less, and adding cards!

At the suggestion of a reader in the "January Pickups" thread, I thought I'd share my successful formula with our larger group.

The idea was to somehow accomplish three New Years Resolutions at once--

Lose the 40 pounds I gained after my divorce
Reign in my spending, even/especially on cards!
Complete the 1956 Dodgers team set from scratch

I won't claim it's not nerdy, but I managed to find a way to tie these goals together in a manner where I can be successful and have fun. So far, it's working really, really well. I feel great, I'm spending very little, and I'm making good progress on my team set.
