Waterfield, as well as Van Bronklin, don't seem to get much hobby love. Then again, a lot of the greats from the 50's don't seem to (Graham, Motley, etc.).
It seems most collectors favor 1952, or even 1951, over 1950 Bowman. But of all the Bowman releases in the 40's & 50's, 1950 remains my favorite. Some great rookies, not nearly as many centering issues, and the unique size all appeal to me. I finally tracked down the elusive Jim White from the set and need only 6 more to finish off my PSA mid-grade set. Happy hunting with your own set! Snorto~ |
