B/S/T etiquette question

If you post something in Ebay, Auction and other Venues Announcement- B/S/T, how often should one be allowed to bump their posting?

I rarely post anything there, but when I do I am never sure whether I should bump at any point.

I have seen people bump their postings as thou they are the only ones posting.

Every 3 or so days sounds about right to me....but there isn't a rule and I don't want one!! And actually the live auction section really has about the only rule and that had to be...Since they are timed 1 member shouldn't have more than 2-3 open at once.
