| Advice needed regarding card damaged in PSA holder

I recently bought this 1972 Gossage in a PSA 9 holder. Unfortunately, when it arrived at my house, the card was crooked in the holder and the corners had gotten dinged a little during transit. I don't think the card would still be considered MT condition due to the dinged corners. Can I send this to PSA to have them reassign a grade and pay me the difference between what I paid and what a PSA 6/7 might go for? Is this even an option?
