Mystery 1922 Chicago vs. New York Flask
I have had this piece on consignment for some time, but can find absolutely no information on it. It must have been a somewhat important game. Here is what I do know.
1922 Chicago vs. New York Baseball Commemorative Sterling Silverplated Flask. Presented by B.M. C of C. which is probably a chamber of commerce in the New York area where one would presume the game was played. Measures 3 3/8" wide by 4 1/2" tall and 5/8" thick. An interesting piece of baseball memorabilia from what must have been an important game, honored by this flask amid the early days of prohibition. So....I finally figured why not ask the collective members here, who will probably ID it within 24 hours. Thanks in advance for any help. Scott |
