My first car was a 1971 Javelin SST 401 in High School (78). Got a ticket going over 100 and doing a 4 wheel lock skid through an intersection going to lunch during school. Tommy's was only 4 blocks away.
Those cars are awesome and in your price range if you can find one. I graduated to a 77 Trans Am in 79.I picked up a Resto Mod 76 Trans Am 6 speed 464/600HP in 2015. Best investment of my life and VROOOOM it around the neighborhood every week cranking Tom Petty. For 30 Minutes Feels like I'm back in High School. Though they can be a money pit at times, there is NOTHING like it. Just make sure you have the Gold AAA membership.I say forget the 25K Sal Maglie bum and get yourself a Hot Rod. My biggest regret in life is that I only have a 2 car garage. Good Luck! |
