The Book of Baseball, by Patten and McSpadden 1911

This book is tall and wide, not very thick... Imagine that someone clipped articles about baseball from newspapers from about 1908 through 1911, then put that together in an attempt to describe the players, teams, and the game just about spot on the same time as the T205s, T206s, and T207s were distributed. If you're a fan of those cards then contemplate getting one of these books. There's a Dover reprint of the book that I've yet to see; it's affordable. And then there's the original 110+ year old book that's a bit pricey.
