well that didnt post as expected - thought it would post under the Fritz card several posts above here - delete if necessary
(didnt see an option that i could delete myself)dont know how much interest there is, but a quick newspaper search shows that a player named Fritz did play for Kansas City in 1912. The Kansas City Star March 7 1912 states 'Fritz, the Southern League southpaw...' The Kansas City Star March 29 1912 has a spring training boxscore between Waco and Kansas City with Fritz pitching. A really interesting article from The Kansas City Star April 17 1912 about 'roomies' names mentioned are Fritz, Andy Oyler, Johnny Corridon and Nick Maddox (per baseball reference Maddox was with KC in 1912, Corridon and Oyler were not) records printed in The Kansas City Star August 21 1912 has Fritz with 1G, 0W, 1L, 4R, 3H 2.2IP no longer with the team Last edited by st.moose; 10-14-2023 at 12:47 AM. |
