I think we may have jumped the gun!

When I pasted his message into a non-collector translator app, it cleared up what his intent was:

"I wish my fellow collectors the warmest of greetings, and would like to introduce you to my stepfather, a saintly man who married my mother and saved our family from ruin after the calamitous passing of my beloved father.
He owns some beautiful cards dating from the late 1800�s that are in remarkable shape for their age. He will be delighted to talk to you about them and answer any questions that are sure to come.

I am also willing to help, but as a stone mason (hence my user name) this is my busy season and it may be tough for me to find the time, but I will assist when possible.
