Hey guys -
I set up at the show and noticed several things: 1) Great crowds - mostly due to high end Detroit pro stars signing but also creating traffic on the floor, many of them spending with table dealers. Lots of old school card collectors 2) Slow creep of non-traditional vintage dealers into the table mix, with shiny cards, card display products, gimmicks and clothes being offered 3) Continued strong demand for Vintage. I sold most of the graded stuff that I took, though I was disappointed that there were not a lot of 50's/'60's set builders that found me. I was ready for them but they maybe just weren't out there. 4) Great overall buzz and a reminder of the great strength of the Detroit market. Doesn't hurt that the Tigers, Lions and Pistons are all doing great these day either. Hope this helps, Mike! Chris |
