It could be that I am simply out of touch with the current marketplace, even though I just completed a run of 65-68 Topps sets over the last 4 years.
And I know the quality of the cards listed by GM - I've used his site as one of the primary means of completing those sets. BUT - with a day and a half left, this raw Rose rookie is sitting above $5K? I THINK I see some wear on the bottom left corner, and a couple tiny spots of white around the blue, plus there's the color registration issue that has produced a thin green band between the yellow and blue. All that nit-picking aside - it will be interesting to see how high this goes. But even in today's market, does this seem a bit overboard? I plan on completing a '64 set by the spring, and then will turn to '63 - oh, my. https://www.ebay.com/itm/136177120896 |
