| Flaking vs. paper loss

What is the difference between paper loss and flaking exactly? Does SGC consider them the same when grading? Reason I am asking is I got this beautiful N28 Ward in the mail and was amazed when I saw it in person. The only flaw is a small spot of flaking on the right border at shoulder level. Should I even try to crossover to SGC with a minimum of 40 or will flaking make it a 30 as with paper loss? David |
