Gotcha-thought you meant he had bought them that day.
Had a great time in Bawlmer but I have to say there was a dearth of test issues and the more regional/smaller Topps sets compared to the larger shows I have attended in the last 25 years or so. Aside from Steve Werley and a couple of other dealers there was not a whole lot out there; usually there are various pockets of things randomly strewn about. A quick recap of what I saw among the non-oddball dealers: -a 61 Dice game going into one of the auction catalogs (B. Robby) -an unopened box of 62 stamp albums -a handful of 67 Pirates and Red Sox Stickers -maybe three 67 Giant Stand Ups -68 Plaks at Mile High and Steve Werley's booths (cheating on Werley, I know) -3 or 4 68 3D's Very slim pickings. I must say I saw a whole lot of 74 Deckles, to the point I wonder how scarce they really are. I have noticed this phenomenon before. The 74 Stamp Albums are much harder, although the stamps proper are easy. Anyone else notice some tests? Last edited by toppcat; 08-12-2010 at 07:15 AM. |
