I think it's because there have been quite a few available recently. Not that it would slow down someone with a good budget, but I think many people will go after the one that's available at any given time harder than any individual one if there's a collection being broken up.
Since they're in the possible range for someone like me, there's also the seasonal thing. If there's a really nice one I'm interested in during the summer I'll usually bid. During the winter the heating oil company takes nearly all the card budget and then some. Steve B
