Steve B says "That's a nice old card catalog! I got one from the library my mother worked for a few years ago. The newer ones have rods to keep the cards from being removed. And totally don't work for cards unless you take all those rods out and put the cards sideways.
On the plus side, it still has all the library cards which were typed by local inmates at one point. So some of the cards are a bit messed up. Inmate humor I guess" I also have a newer card catalog I got on ebay for about $150 (I picked it up, it was about 200 miles from my house). The rods come out easily, but you do have to put the cards on their sides, and they do not fit graded cards, but it is a very easy way to store cards. I now need another one. |
