For what its worth...I was in Crystal River Florida one day buying a collection , not far from Ted Williams house and out of the blue I got a call from John Henry , he wanted to know , and I quote "How do you know if an autograph is authentic ?" , I told him that its not something I can explain in a five minute phone conversation.
He got an attitude , and then asked me to come to HIM and explain it in more detail like it was an "obligation" I said no problem is your Dad going to be there ?? and he said "No" and I said well in that case I won't be coming over unless you pay by the hour..... ![]() ![]() ![]() He didn't like that too much and I vaguely remember him hanging up on me. _________________________ jim@stinsonsports.com BUYING & SELLING BASEBALL AUTOGRAPHS SINCE 1982 stinsonsports.com |
