Jim,
I would guess circa late 1950's- 1960's based on the look of the pocketknife, FWIW. Perhaps you know that the SF Giants organization started in 1958. Here is a photo from an auction currently on eBay. The seller has said this knife is from the 1950's. It's not exactly the same, but close.
