Johnny Vander Meer signed hand painted ball
Good-guy board member Ken Sulik provide a big assist and had an artist friend of his hand paint a Vander Meer signed Leonard Coleman ball that I acquired recently for this purpose.
The image that I selected for her to paint was from a photo that was taken of the 1st time that Vandy met boyhood idol Babe Ruth. He met the Babe just prior to throwing his second consecutive no-hitter on June 15th, 1938- the first night game at Ebbets Field. Many thanks to Ken for his help in getting this done. I think it turned out great!
