Not the first time I've seen something like this. I remember a few years ago the Prime Minister then in office (Blair?) took flak for misspelling the name of a soldier, who had been killed in Afghanistan, in a handwritten letter to the parents.
EDIT: Gordon Brown, not Tony Blair.
