TPG question, plus SGC grading specials
Hello ... I'm kind of new to grading so I have a couple questions.
Do the TPG companies weigh OC card back's as sensitively as OC card fronts? For example, if I had a 63T Rose RC and the front was evenly centered, but the back was OC 80/20, would it get a higher grade than if I had a the same card that was OC 80/20 on the front and centered on the back? It's amazing how many vintage Topps cards I see that are perfectly centered on the front, but OC on the back :-) My other question is ... does SGC still do monthly grading specials for post-war cards for $6 a card? If so, do they usually run that particular special during the same time every year? I have a number of post-war cards I'd like to submit right now, but at $10 a card, I can't afford it. For that matter, I have some pre-war cards I'd like to submit as well. I see that they have a shipping special this month, but at a (25) card minimum, I can't afford that either :-( Any feedback appreciated. Thanks! |
