don't know if I like the logic behind Dave M's post. If I was running a truly national show, I would put it central rather often to draw from the widest area. If you go one coast or the other you cut down on getting people from the opposite coast. Put it in Kansas and everyone is only a 3 hour flight or two day drive away.
