I've always put my cards into a penny sleeve and into a screw down. I heard too many horror stories about people taking apart the screw down and part of the card going each way and tearing either the front or back apart.
So, I use penny sleeves and have never had a problem. Even in the smaller 1-screw screw downs, I do the same method. Hope this helps.
