Because you asked them to authenticate a card from the 1930s. If you sent it in as 1980s Ted Williams reprint Exhibit, they might have slabbed it for you. But then again maybe not, because the intent was to deceive in the first place and they may only grade/slab cards that say "reprint" on them.
