Initially, Joe D was not too happy about his name being in Simon and Garfunkel's song. But, Joe's agent advised Joe that it would be good publicity for him. So, Joe OK'd it. But, Joe refused to allow these lyrics to be sung in the movie (The Graduate). And, sure enough, the lyrics are not included in the song featured in the movie. TED Z .
