Collectibles That Logistically Must Stay!
I have a few collectibles that I can't let depart, even if I wanted to.
Here is one that I will bring out as a good-luck piece for the upcoming Astros-Yankees playoff series - it's the home plate from the opening series between Houston and New York in 2014 on April 1-3. Houston took two out of three, Nolan throwing out the first pitch (which did not come close to crossing this plate ), it was Derek Jeter's last opening day and the beginning of Jose Altuve's break-out season. Runs scored by Ichiro, Jeter and Altuve. It's heavy as heck. When I bought it from MLB back in 2014, I was very curious how they would ship it. It arrived just sitting in the bottom of a massive box - couldn't have flopped around if it wanted to. I decided immediately not to continue collecting home plates.
