Hayward & Havenstrite's Parlor Game of Base Ball
Added to my 19th Century board game collection. This is a giant, as you can see from the ball placed in the photo for scale. The lid is flat and fits into a wood frame, which also houses the intricate game board. Very unique.
I was able to find images of the patent application (link below) which shows the patent application date of June 24, 1885 and granted date of July 13, 1886. Thankfully, it also includes detailed descriptions of how to play the game! http://patentimages.storage.googleap...s/US345430.pdf
