Stolen Art
I'm grasping at straws on this, so if anybody has any suggestions to my problem, I'd love to hear them...
Last week when my family was moving, the house we are moving to was broken into and a couple pieces of art were stolen. There was some financial value to each, but they also meant a great deal to both me and my wife. One was an Audubon print of the Brown Creeper and California Nuthatch, the other a woodblock print done by Don Gorvett (framed with a blue matt). But my real question is, where would these pieces likely end up? I've checked in on Craigslist, OfferUp, NextDoor and LetGo, while also contacting various pawn shops and heading to a flea market in my search so far. But I get the feeling that none of these are great candidates. Where should I be looking for these? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |
