Don't look for logic with that company. They are all over the place, and are not consistent. Yes, cards graded early in the game were not graded as harshly as today. But still I have seen infinite examples of "2s" that look far better than "4s".

And even more altered cards in numbered sabs that sell for far more than legitimate mid-grade examples. It all depends upon who is submitting, and it appears you may not be a "preferred" submitter.
