FWIW in my collection at the same time I had 4 Chadwick autographs of all different types from different eras with differing signature variations but they all had some basic characteristics. They were a :
Business card Cut from legal document Handwritten note Envelope In your posted examples the first ( on the left ) I would not be comfortable with LOA or not . The second one ( the book) is good IMO and an accepted signature variation of Chadwick's.
