Really naysayers.
![]() ![]() I, for one, have learned how to use the Velcro fasteners on my batting gloves and they are designed not to slip after every pitch. I think the pitch clock proves this. The first player that I remember that had to redo his Velcro after every pitch was Nomar Garciaparra. Over the years a large number of younger players have been convinced that this is necessary to remain in the big leagues. I guess a lot of you fans and Net54 members enjoy playing with Velcro, but do the rest of us enjoy watching the ritual a hundred or more times in a game. I don’t think so.
