I was at that game as just going into my senior year of high school. Went with my parents, brother and a cousin who was a fell baseball card collector.
Luckily, we went on a bus trip that my fathers company sponsored. They would have 3 or 4 Mets and Yankees games each every year. I remember at some point some members of the group wanted to leave but the guy in charge said no, there were many who wanted to stay. Game ended a little after 3 AM. Didn't go to school the next day. The funny thing is Baltimore and the Yankees played a 17 inning game that same day. We watched the scoreboard to see how long that game would go! Mike
