Been collecting cards for over 50 years and never heard of it. As 11 year olds in 1968 my cousin and I opened many packs from all the series and never saw this.
Topps was thrifty (cheap) and putting stickers on an individual card or cards was expensive, time consuming and unnecessary. The cards were selling without any sticker. Why incur an additional cost with no additional profit? Mike
