I love it when PC have a stamped date and note. The stories they tell, the journey the PC itself went through, the historical significance of how folks use to communicate, is something that makes PCs that were used so fascinating.
Here is my favorite one I own. A 1912 Red Sox Artshop Postcard. “Here’s a picture of the new World Champions. Good looking bunch, don’t you think? I’m afraid their victory today was a rather hollow game, but anyway, it’s all in the new game.” That last line is what gets me thinking a ton. Not exactly sure what they meant by the new game. |
