October 2025 Pick ups
Saturday pickups from the Charlotte, NC card show. I was impressed by the venue, the Park Expo center - which I didn’t realize is right next to the old Charlotte Coliseum where I saw things like the circus, the Ice Capades, and the Harlem Globetrotters as a kid in the 1980’s.
The venue is huge, and if the 500 tables they advertised were all setup - they would easily have room for 750 if they wanted to. Though a ton of people were there, it didn’t feel crowded and there was plenty of aisle space. There was way too much shiny stuff and Pokémon for my liking - but that’s everywhere anymore. The good news was the vintage was also plentiful, and the dealers welcomed negotiation. Glad to have brought these guys home, as well as a dozen plus commons I needed for my ‘63 set.
