I've been able to put together a decent collection of Advisory Staff Photos over the years. But I still have the most basic question about them -- what exactly are they? Or more precisely, how were they distributed? Were they given away by sporting goods stores with the purchase of a glove or perhaps a bat? Or were they displayed by sporting goods stores but never intended for public distribution? Or could you write away to Wilson or MacGregor or Rawlings, etc., to get one? Or something else entirely?
Also, does anyone know why the colored photos from the 1970s are so tough? I've been searching for the Seaver my whole life and I've never even seen a picture of one. Thanks. Paul |
