This '33 Ruth #53 isn't real, is it?

The borders are too wide, too white (wrong kind of paper). Also, the big league banner is perfectly lined up with the picture (not impossible, but unlikely). The yellow in the picture looks too dark, and the blue in the cap appears to be wrong (although it is difficult to be sure with a scan). On the reverse, there is no bleed through (however, not always there on real cards). Also, there is paper missing on the reverse, including conveniently where the word reprint would be. Even if it was real, with the missing paper on the reverse, it is still a very high price. |
