Default well I waited patiently the first time it was listed...

I have a small collection of lemon peel and early baseballs (couple fives balls and gutta golf balls too). The lot I am pointing out (I don't know the owner - I don't own the ball etc./etc.) is for what is being billed as salesman samples. While the pix aren't great - the lot looks interesting and REAL to me. It's just that the idea of them being salesman samples seems a bit off-base. If the balls were manufactured OPEN in a configuration that allowed a view of the inside and outside of the ball it might almost make sense to me. The balls were small to begin with. Even if it was a cobbler exampling his wares they would have been full sized. Perhaps he was practicing some technique or having fun. My uncle was a professional commercial photographer and sometimes he made his own camera to take a shot - and sometimes he made miniature items to go with one display or another. Too large for dollhouse/miniatures? In any event - wondering if there were any other thoughts? I know there is/was someone out of NY that Edwards and other houses used to use re: the balls. Paul R. or sumptin like that. Anyone know more?

Hope I'm not breaking the rules about "outing". I am posting this to LEARN. I imagine someone who collects these balls would find it on many different simple searches.....
