Stick to autographs. A very low grade '52 Topps Mantle will still cost more than $200-$300. You might get half a card for that, literally. I would guess (as this set is too new for me) that a decent PSA 1 would go for about $1000-$1500.......and you could double that, or more, for each grade going up. Again, others on the board know more than I about this set. As for ebay policing sellers auctions it just ain't going to happen. Not in our lifetime. Ebay exists for one reason only ....MONEY....(and to give our fearless moderator a job). Ebay could really give a rat's ass if anyone gets ripped off as long as they make money and aren't liable. Hopefully at some point in time there will be a class action lawsuit and they will be fined hundreds of millions of dollars...otherwise, it'll be business as usual......regards |
