Ruth Rookie and More

My question is this I am thinking about collecting N172's and I alway thought that the card was a sepia tone, brownish color. Then I just went to the Goodwin auction and see that there are quite a few N172's that look more black and white. Is there a value difference between the 2 types and also do the same poses come in both variations?
