A PCL Collector friend of mine informed me that this was an accordian style booklet of photos/cards put out by the Sacramento Team in 1914 and that this is similar to the Baltimore Shirt Company cards issued later. I guess this makes it a true "card" to all those who believe the Baltimore Shirt issues are cards, and not a "card" to those that believe the Baltimore cards are just part of a bigger piece. Either way to me, it is vintage and really cool Lefty Williams piece so I am happy. I was told there are 4 known booklets in the hobby and they are all tucked away in advanced collections. A special thanks to the PCL collector who filled me in, I dont want to name him incase he wants his privacy but I bet most of you already know who he is. |
