Jim RogersFor sale are two 1930s Detroit Tigers scorecards. The first is from 1933 and is unscored. The Tigers were playing the Chicago White Sox. Hall of Famers featured on this scorecard are Charlie Gehringer and Hank Greenberg of Detroit with Al Simmons and Luke Appling representing Chicago. An added bonus is that this scorecard was autographed by Johnny Stone the Tigers cleanup hitter.
John Thomas Stone (October 10, 1905 – November 30, 1955), nicknamed "Rocky" [1] was an outfielder in Major League Baseball who played eleven seasons with the Detroit Tigers (1928-1933) and Washington Senators (1934-1938). Stone hit over .300 seven times in his career and had a career batting average of .310.
The second scorecard is from 1936 and is scored. This card also features the Tigers playing the Chicago White Sox. Hall of Famers for the Tigers are Charlie Gehringer, Goose Goslin, Hank Greenberg, and Al Simmons. The only HOFer for the White Sox is Luke Appling.
Both cards are in really great condition and include exceptional advertisement material. Please contact me for scans. I want $100 for the pair. Please contact me through e-mail if you are interested. Thanks!
