Hmm... FYI- I primarily use a different source of reference for game logs. I use Retrosheet.org. I go to games tab, and then teams (in this case Yankees), and then individual game logs. Retrosheet shows no game played on 7/4/41. On 7/5/41 the Yankees played the A's (one game only, no double header). I wonder why the difference between the two sources? It's my understanding that Retrosheet uses actual official scorekeeper info for many games.
