Those lists undoubtedly contain many of the most desirable (and perhaps top-searched), but are so high-end, they would not accomodate most people's budgets. The initial post asked for simply the most-searched, so I think this list would include more cards people would actually be able to afford and/or have an intent to purchase.
I think the "most searched" would include a few more "common" cards like maybe 1941 Playball DiMaggio, and Clemente, Mays and Aaron Rookie cards. Maybe even a Pujols Rookie, as suggested in the first list. We all prefer the much older cards, but I am not sure how many would really make the top 10 searched (as ebay is a huge marketplace). I would keep the Wagner, the '33 Goudey Ruths, the T206 Cobbs and the '52 Topps Mantle in there, but am not sure about the rest, as they are more obscure to the average collector. |
