Former Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Scott Williamson has placed his 2004 World Series ring up for sale with the Cincinnati-based online personal property sale company Everything But The House (
www.ebth.com). This is the first 2004 World Series player’s ring from this historic team available to the general public.
Williamson led the Red Sox in ERA in 2004 with a 1.26 mark in 28 appearances and was the 1999 National League Rookie of the Year as a member of the Cincinnati Reds.
Bidding for the ring will open at $1 and the ring will be sold to the highest bidder. Bids are only accepted online and will continue until the bidding begins to close at 8:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday October 25, 2011.
