The #240 card in the 1949 BOWMAN set depicts Bobby Young (a St Louis Cardinals rookie in 1948). But, the name and the bio is that of veteran ballplayer
Norman "Babe" Young, who played with the Cardinals for the 1948 season. In 1949, Young was invited by the Yankees to Spring training. He injured his leg during Spring training and retired. ![]() . ![]() .................................................. .................................................. ............................../\.................. very rare GRAY-BACK .................../\ 1949 BOWMAN rare SLATE-gray color error ![]() TED Z |
