Many, if not most, casual baseball fans or non prewar collectors have never heard of Hal Chase beyond maybe having heard the name. To illustrate the magnitude of star that he must have been, I point out that he is the only player with five different cards in the T206 set - more than even the legendary Ty Cobb.
